The East Singhbhum district corridor consists of Jamshedpur, Seraikela and Chaibasa whereas the Ranchi corridor includes Ramgarh, Lohardaga, Simdega, Latehar, Khunti and Gumla districts. After flagging off ambulances for both Ranchi and East Singhbhum covid circuit corridors, the CM said that with the rise in Covid-19 cases the need for oxygen supported beds is being felt. He added the government has increased number of such beds from 2,500 to 10,000 in the last 20 days. He added work of increasing the number of oxygen supported beds is also in progress across all the districts. The CM observed that due to a sudden spike in the cases, oxygen beds seem scarce in many districts like Ranchi, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur whereas many districts have vacant oxygen beds. He said given the situation two covid circuits were launched by the state government. The CM said that both of the circuits namely Ranchi and East Singhbhum have a high demand for oxygen supported beds. Patients of these districts will be allotted oxygen supported beds in adjacent nearby districts. Soren said that out of 2000 oxygen supported beds in the Ranchi circuit 450 beds are vacant. The same is the case with the East Singhbhum circuit. Out of 1200 oxygen supported beds in the circuit, about 500 beds are empty. The CM said that the number of infected patients is increasing daily in Ranchi, Jamshedpur and other big cities, adding it has caused pressure of patients in Covid dedicated hospitals of these cities. He said these two circuits will help ease the pressure from the hospitals. Soren said that to avoid any problem due to lack of information, a toll-free number has been issued by the state government. Covid infected patients or families who wish to avail this facility to be admitted at nearby district hospitals, can call the central control room at 104 or Ranchi centre at 06512411144 and Jamshedpur centre at 0657-244011, 8987510050. The CM said, “The infrastructure of hospitals established in adjacent districts of major cities is being operationalized. Toll-free numbers have been issued by the state government to ensure that there is no panic among the people due to lack of information. Information about beds can be obtained by calling on these toll-free numbers.” Soren appealed to the people of the state to be patient. He said, "There is no need to panic in any way.
